Hi! Today's "idea/lesson" has to do with reading readiness and magnets!
Get a large round metal circle shape, something with a lip on it (the lids from those holiday popcorn tins, or the cookie tins works best) and some magnetic letters. Sit with your child and practice spelling words, names, etc. This is how I taught my son phonics, and we started with the -at family.... start with the basic word "at" then add different letters as the beginning sound:
mat
sat
cat
bat
hat
and so on. 3 and 4 year olds will pick this up very quickly and this also goes great in the car. You can ask them to find the letters and spell the words themselves.

What a cool idea. I might have to use something like this to help Nathan with rhyming words which is something he's not quite understanding right now in Kindergarten.
